Sarah Kay Marchetti
Sarah Kay Marchetti was born in Boston and grew up in Southern New Hampshire. She began dancing and competing with New Hampshire Academy of Dance and then moved to train at Jose Mateo's Ballet Theatre of Boston, now Jose Mateo's Ballet Theatre. She trained on scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School as well as the Rock School for the Pennsylvania Ballet. Sarah earned her BFA in Dance from Southern Methodist University and then went on to dance with the Contemporary Dance Theatre of El Salvador in Washington, DC as a principal dancer.
Sarah most recently danced at The Metropolitan Opera in Susan Stroman's The Merry Widow. She toured nationally and internationally as "Victoria (The White Cat)" in Cats. She has also performed the role regionally at Sacramento Music Circus and The Muny where she also served as dance captain. Sarah has performed in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular both at Radio City Music Hall and at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. She toured Europe with West Side Story and recently performed the role of "Graziella" in Sacramento Music Circus' production, also serving as dance captain. Sarah danced in a special one night concert of Children of Eden, starring Ashley Brown and Jeremy Jordan at The Kennedy Center, and she can be seen dancing in the pilot of Boardwalk Empire. Sarah is a senior instructor at Physique 57, training celebrities, fashion designers, and many of the fabulous women of NYC. She is a judge at Encore Dance Competition of the Stars where she also teaches master classes, and has been a dance faculty member at US Performing Arts Camp in Georgetown for the last two years.
